First checks on Oristano's beaches , first seizures, and first fines . Operation "Sea and Lakes Safe 2026" took place over the weekend primarily in the Cuglieri marina, where Oristano Coast Guard personnel, engaged in patrolling, discovered numerous beach umbrellas and beach equipment left abandoned on the beach "to preemptively reserve portions of the coastline , in violation of the Region's beach ordinance," according to a statement from the Coast Guard. Following the investigation, 20 beach umbrellas and 18 chairs and loungers were administratively seized.
During the Coast Guard operations , some owners also arrived on the beach and were identified and fined.
"The administrative fines imposed amount to approximately one thousand euros ," the Oristano Port Authority specifies.
