Ryanair cancels the flight: the odyssey of 80 Sardinians

They should have left yesterday at 20.25 from Ciampino with a Ryanair flight but for 80 Sardinians headed to Cagliari the trip has turned into an odyssey.
First the communication of a delay of two hours, then two text messages from the low cost company: the first informs them that the flight would be postponed to the next day, the second that it had been canceled.
No other information. A group of passengers thus turned to the only people to talk to: the innocent ticket office staff at the Lazio airport, who after hours - in the meantime it was one in the morning - between screams and crying children managed to obtain a seat in a hotel and a bus to carry them.
Too bad that the hotel was 30 kilometers away, in Pavona , and that for the next day they would have to arrange both to find (and pay for) a new flight to Cagliari and to reach an airport, Ciampino or Fiumicino.
"We have to thank the hotelier who accompanied us in groups of five with his car to the nearest station, that of Pomezia, which is four kilometers from the hotel, and from there we were able to take the train to Rome Termini and then that for Fiumicino ”, says Andrea Matacena , one of the passengers.
He, who had also waited 4 hours for a delayed flight on the first leg , will return to Cagliari with Volotea at 4.15 pm, provided that that flight is not canceled as well. The others made do with the planes they found.
