The passion of the teachers, the experience and competence of the trainers, the contagious liveliness and skill of a singer who comes from Salerno but is Alghero by adoption, the tenacity and dedication of the students: these are the ingredients of two success achieved at the music laboratories of the ITI headquarters of the Angelo Roth Institute in Alghero with a final performance in the school courtyard. Roth in musica and Roth records , made possible thanks to PNRR funds, with the collaboration of the comprehensive institute n. 1.
«The projects aim to offer our boys and girls the opportunity, free of charge, to learn the techniques of singing, music and sound and to develop unexpected skills. The activation of these courses also allows us to implement and promote new actions to strengthen relationships between school, families and the territory", says the prof. Bruno Costantino, tutor of Roth records and creator of the projects with professor Elisa Bilardi, who took care of the part relating to the students, their coordination and tutor of Roth in music.

The Institute has, within it, human resources such as Professor Carmen Esposito, soprano, who managed the singing part as musical tutor. For the Roth in music project, the other expert in the musical field was the internationally renowned jazz musician, artistic director of the Nuoro Jazz Festival and Seminars, master of ensemble music, Salvatore Maltana, who directed the boys and girls in a path that has seen them grow day by day. The sound engineer is Attilio Lombardo, owner of the Chicken Coop Studio and Audio Live Service, who followed, coordinated and instructed the students in editing and recording programming, in the processing, post-production and generation of the audio signals of the songs chosen by the young people students.
The students performed songs sung and played with the help of the highest level musical and electronic instruments with which the ITI music laboratory is equipped. In a surprising way, shy, disoriented students, at a particularly difficult age, fragile and insecure, showed strength, a spirit of adaptation and the ability to work in a group, discovering that school is a special community and that you also learn while having fun and putting yourself to the test. test with innovative methodologies. A final warning comes from Salvatore Maltana and all the organizers to ensure that music returns to schools.
