The Red Cross helps more than 1,600 people in Cagliari every day.
"Here too, there is a great need for social and health assistance," explained Rosario Valastro, national president of the Italian Red Cross, who was in the capital this morning for a meeting with the president of the Sardinian Regional Council, Piero Comandini.
"In Cagliari, we are present, in collaboration with the Municipality, in street activities every day of the year," Valastro added. "The demand for basic healthcare services is very high, and our commitment is especially focused on the most vulnerable segments of the population, who also require basic necessities."
