Robberies, muggings, beatings, extortion, and drug dealing : a long trail of petty crime in downtown Cagliari and some shopping centers in recent months, starting last September 2025, is thought to have been perpetrators of the crimes by minors . All the complaints received from victims have led investigators to suspect a connection between young people (especially those between the ages of 14 and 16 ). This morning, Carabinieri officers from the Cagliari branch, in collaboration with other branches, personnel from the provincial command, and the intervention of the Carabinieri helicopter, conducted 14 searches, at the request of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, on very young boys suspected of a series of incidents in what investigators themselves define as an alarming phenomenon of juvenile crime .

The Carabinieri investigations have allowed them to reconstruct the network of acquaintances among several of the minors under suspicion, virtually all of whom are from Cagliari (some residing in municipalities in the hinterland and the province) and whose families have no particular problems . In addition to the robberies, muggings, and extortion, the military also reconstructed the presence of drug dealing among minors . According to investigators, the meetings and the organization of the expeditions to commit the crimes took place through social networks.
