The new stop at the Monte Pino construction site (this concerns the restoration of the Sp 38 which collapsed in 2013, three people died, awaited for 11 years) is very bad news for the people of Gallura, in particular for the Tempio area. The problems that led to the interruption of the contractual relationship between Anas and the Italian Costruzioni company are confirmed.

The restoration times of Olbia Tempio are slipping without a precise deadline. The road collapsed on 18 November 2013, during the tragic passage of Cyclone Cleopatra in Gallura and has been closed since then. But the overall road situation is disastrous in the north east of the island. The president of the Union of Municipalities of Alta Gallura, Gian Mario Mamia, says: «The total inadequacy of the most important roads in our territory is there for all to see. How can we grow in this situation, what can our development be? We have Olbia Tempio which has now become unfinished and there is also the disastrous condition of the Provincials. The Santa Teresa Castelsardo is dangerous, the maintenance is insufficient if not non-existent. There is no signage and the road surface requires urgent interventions. The same goes for Aggius, Trinità, Viddalba, Badesi, in the Sp 74 there are sections at the limit of practicability. And they are fundamental roads for the development of tourism. We turn to the Region for an urgent response, we cannot wait any longer. People's safety is also at stake."

The Union of Municipalities of Alta Gallura brings together 11 centers and is based in Tempio. In fact, all the roads in the territory of the intermediate body have more or less serious problems.
