Carabinieri from the RIS (Italian Special Investigations Unit) are back at work at the Conca Entosa estate, between Palau and Arzachena, where on the night of September 11th, Emanuele Ragnedda killed Cinzia Pinna with three gunshots. Also under scrutiny is the Nikitai, the businessman's boat, moored at the Cannigione marina.
Specialists from the Carabinieri's scientific investigations unit returned to the estate this morning, accompanied by lawyers representing all parties involved. They were accompanied by several Forestas workers and vehicles. On board were lawnmowers and other machinery that could be used to clear some areas of the Ragnedda estate, such as the area where the body of the thirty-three-year-old from Castelsardo was hidden.
These operations could be aimed at recovering the victim's personal effects —such as her cell phone, which was never recovered—as well as fingerprints that could reveal the possible presence of other people in Conca Entosa after the crime, perhaps called by the confessed criminal to dispose of the evidence.
The investigation will continue on Thursday, tomorrow, when an inspection of the family yacht, the Nikitai, is planned. Ragnedda had used the vessel's tender to reach Baja Sardinia, where the family home is located, when he was already being hunted by the Carabinieri, who had come knocking on the door of his estate.
This morning in Conca Entosa , in addition to Ragnedda's lawyer, Luca Montella, there were also lawyers Maurizio and Nicoletta Mani, representing 26-year-old Lombard gardener Luca Franciosi, who is under investigation for aiding and abetting, along with Ragnedda's friend Rosa Maria Elvo from San Pantaleo. "Our client," the lawyers said, "is waiting to be questioned. We're waiting; the Prosecutor's Office is very busy these days."
