Researchers' Night at ExMa in Cagliari between inclusion and AI

Inclusion and accessibility, artificial intelligence, circular economy and reuse of production waste, microbiology, cultural heritage, scientific research at sea, sustainable construction, intelligent materials, virtual reality, are the focuses of Sharper 2024 - The night of researchers that will be held for the first time on September 27 at the ExMa in Cagliari. Fifteen departments of the University of Cagliari are involved in the event, over one hundred researchers with as many projects that will be presented to citizens. And then the universities of Ancona, Bari, Cagliari, Camerino, Catania, Genoa, L'Aquila, Nuoro, Palermo, Pavia, Perugia, Sassari, Terni, Trieste and Urbino and the partners Inaf, Istat, Airc, ScienzaSocietàScienza, Sardegna Ricerche-10Lab, InFn, UniCa radio and the University Penitentiary Centre.
The Researchers' Night, funded by the European Commission and the Fondazione di Sardegna, aims to spread and highlight central themes for the everyday life of citizens such as energy and renewable sources, health research but also new technologies and artificial intelligence. During the meeting, citizens will be able to immerse themselves in the projects carried out by researchers.
«The proposed activities», explains Fabrizio Pilo, vice-rector for Innovation and Territory, «will be linked to interactivity with particular attention to the involvement of the youngest».
September 27 is the key event of Sharper 2024, meetings and seminars between researchers from the university of the capital have already been held in some secondary schools and at the Uta penitentiary.
