The trial on an alleged system of "interference" in the regional tenders of the Rural Development Plan will be celebrated in Tempio. This was decided by the Court of Cagliari (in collective composition), accepting the requests of the defense of the eight people involved.

The disputes concern the former mayor of Palau, Francesco Pala, the councilor for the environment of the Municipality of Tempio, Francesco Quargnenti, the engineer from Olbia Sebastiano Cudoni, the professionals Roberto Soru and Simone Puddu, both from Terralba and the entrepreneurs Vanni Fara of Aggius and Davide Careddu of Calangianus . The challenge of the Prosecutor of Cagliari is "disturbed freedom of auctions aimed at illegally obtaining public funding".

According to the Guardia di Finanza, municipal administrators (many never identified) would have been promised preview information on regional tenders. An incomplete investigation, because not even the regional managers who would have anticipated the information on the tenders were ever indicated.

The defenses (Rinaldo Saiu, Giacomo Piga, Agostinangelo Marras, Nicola Satta, Carlo Selis and Gianfranco Grussu) had raised questions of territorial jurisdiction. According to the lawyers, there has been no disruption of the tenders, also because the municipalities involved have never obtained the regional funds for the improvement of rural roads.
