Ceasefire immediately in Gaza . This is what the Regional Council of Sardinia is asking for with a motion, presented by the leader of Sinistra Futura, Luca Pizzuto, and approved this morning .
The Sardinian Assembly, in the document also signed by the M5S and Uniti per Alessandra Todde groups, declares that it recognizes the state of Palestine as per the UN resolution of and proposes Sardinia as the venue for a peace conference in the Middle East.
For the regional councilors of the Sardinian M5S this is a " historic, shared and determined result that not only sees the Sardinian regional council aligned in defense of peace and the ceasefire in Gaza, but commits our regional government to support every initiative to pursue the unconditional release of Israeli hostages and protect the safety of the civilian population of Gaza, also guaranteeing the provision of continuous, rapid, safe and unrestricted humanitarian aid within the Strip".
