The Tar ruling paves the way for the construction of the liquefied natural gas depot and the regasification plant in the port of Cagliari .

The administrative judges of Lazio have rejected the appeal of Grandi Trasporti Marittimi Spa , which asked to cancel the decree with which the ministries of Culture and Ecological Transition had expressed a favorable opinion on the intervention.

The Sardinia Lng project, an investment of 120 million, involves the construction of a LNG storage facility with a capacity of 22,000 cubic meters and a regasification plant , i.e. the transformation of the gas that arrives with ships from a liquid state to a gaseous.

The cancellation had also been requested due to the proximity of the plant to the area in which the personnel, ships and means of Grandi Trasporti Marittimi operate. Appeal rejected, and now only one step is missing for the opening of the construction sites: the agreement of the Region with the Ministry of Energy Transition .
