The regional council led by Alessandra Todde has approved a resolution that modifies the criteria for obtaining refunds of airline tickets for residents of Sardinia.

In the provision, adopted on the proposal of the regional transport councilor Barbara Manca , the council has effectively updated the "guidelines" for the experimental period (started in December 2023 and will end on 31 December 2024) «with the aim of promote the reduction of the disadvantages resulting from insularity".

We intervene, in fact, on refunds as a percentage of the cost of airline tickets on connecting routes between Sardinian airports and those within the European Union .

Until now, the amount of individual aid has consisted of a contribution on the ticket price from a minimum of 25 euros to a maximum of 75 euros for residents up to their 26th birthday and for residents starting from their 65th birthday. of age. With the new resolution, however, the age limits are eliminated and the intervention is extended to all citizens resident in Sardinia.

Furthermore, in the same resolution, the calculation system was changed, "in order - it is explained - to increase the amount of the reimbursement". There are still no details on this last point, which will be provided next week, during a conference called by the Transport Department on Tuesday 2 July.
