For many, the much-coveted La Pelosa beach will remain a mirage. At least this season. The booking system authorized by the Municipality of Stintino records approximately 9 thousand contacts every day for the purchase of access tickets. Unprecedented over-tourism numbers compared with the daily availability of only 1,500 seats. It's like trying your luck. An impressive demand for the renowned La Pelosa beach which is confirmed as one of the most sought after seaside resorts in Italy and Europe.

Of the entrance tickets, 750 can be purchased in advance throughout the season, while the remaining 750 can be booked no earlier than 48 hours from the date of visit. «These data demonstrate the incredible attractiveness of La Pelosa», declares Rita Vallebella, mayor of Stintino. «We are potentially talking about 40,000 people a day (1 user can purchase up to 4 tickets) who want our beach. It is a number that fills us with pride, but at the same time places us face to face with great responsibilities."

The Municipality of Stintino is fully aware of the disappointment that many visitors may feel in not being able to secure a ticket for La Pelosa. "We deeply understand the disappointment of those who cannot access the beach" , continues the mayor. «However, the limited number is a necessary and essential measure to preserve this natural paradise. It is the price we must pay collectively to ensure that future generations can enjoy the pristine beauty of La Pelosa.», continues Rita Vallebella. «Access restrictions have already shown positive results in past years. We have recorded a marked improvement in the quality of the coastal marine ecosystem and a significant reduction in beach erosion." Stintino offers numerous seaside alternatives of equal beauty. “We warmly invite tourists to explore our other wonderful beaches and nature trails,” adds the mayor. «Each offers a unique and unforgettable experience, with the same environmental quality that has made it level, all worthy of being discovered and appreciated: the Spiaggia del Gabbiano, Le Saline, Pazzona, Ezzi Mannu, the Mare di Fuori coves, including Woman's Thigh and many others."

The mayor promises that «we will continue to work to offer all our visitors an experience of the highest quality, with full respect for the nature that surrounds us. The great request we receive is an incentive to do better and better, preserving our coast for future generations."
