This morning, the rank award ceremony for four recently promoted officers took place at the headquarters of the Carabinieri Legion of Sardinia. A simple yet meaningful moment, during which the Commander of the Carabinieri Legion of Sardinia, Brigadier General Francesco Rizzo, personally presented the insignia of rank, in the presence of the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Cagliari and a delegation of officers from the Provincial Command and the Legion's General Staff . He emphasized how each career advancement represents a fundamental milestone in the personal and professional journey of each soldier.
The Legion Commander then expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the commitment, dedication, and high sense of duty demonstrated by the officers promoted over the years , noting how sharing this solemn moment with their colleagues fully embodies the values of the Carabinieri, an institution that embraces its members like a family. He concluded by wishing each of them the same passion and determination to continue their journey, toward ever more significant goals.
Those receiving their ranks, as a result of recent promotions, were Captain Gianmarco Daidone, currently in command of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Cagliari Company; Captain Gianmarco Tafuro, Psychologist Officer serving at the Presidiary Infirmary of the Sardinia Carabinieri Legion; Captain Dario Bellomo, Medical Officer serving at the same Presidiary Infirmary of the Legion and, finally, Lieutenant Alessia Mattiacci, currently seconded to the Provincial Command of Cagliari for a period of "Training on the job" .
The ceremony, held in a sober yet heartfelt atmosphere, represented not only a formal moment of professional recognition but also an opportunity to reaffirm the Carabinieri's founding values: merit, dedication, and team spirit.
