A concert to remember the victims of Nazi extermination in the concentration camps. The performance of the female choir “Prendas Anglona” directed by maestro Paolo Carta and the female section of the Matilde Salvador choir of Alghero is scheduled in Nulvi tomorrow, February 15 at 7:00 pm, at the church of the Beata Vergine Maria Assunta, on the occasion of the initiative “Voices of Memory”.

The program includes the introduction of the event with the deputy mayor Elvira Degortes and the readings with the unique voice of Franca Masu. "For us, this event is not only an opportunity to remember, but an opportunity to believe in a more just and aware future", explains maestro Paolo Carta. And we do it with the few things we have available: the voices of the Prendas choir and the female section of the Matilde Salvador Choir of Alghero; that of the extraordinary Franca Masu, of our instrumentalist friends, almost "specialized" by now in this repertoire, which they face with professionalism and emotion. A feminine proposal also in the readings, with the emotional verses of Ilse Weber".

The musician wanted to thank the municipal administration of Nulvi, the mayor Antonello Cubaiu and the vice Elvira Decortes, as well as Don Pietro Pruneddu «for the great availability not only in welcoming us but also in supporting our initiative».

"This evening is fundamental for many reasons, both historical and moral and social - adds Carta - millions of people, including six million Jews, were exterminated in Nazi concentration camps. Remembering them means honoring their memory and their sacrifice."
