A gift from the Rossoblu goalkeeper and his mother, Emily: "Edoardo was born here, and we're very happy with how we've found ourselves."Christmas comes early to the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of the Duilio Casula Polyclinic thanks to a gift from Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile, on the occasion of the birth of his son Edoardo, which took place at the Polyclinic. The footballer donated one hundred jerseys to thank all the medical staff in the department who supported and assisted mother Emily during her pregnancy and birth.
The mother, says Professor Stefano Angioni, director of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Policlinico, "was cared for during her pregnancy by the Policlinico's gynecologist, Stefania Sanna , and was admitted at the beginning of labor. In the delivery room, she was assisted by obstetrician Daniele Steri, gynecologist Sanna, and anesthesiologist Concetta Cocozza, with the usual medical care and empathy until the birth of the baby, who was born in excellent health . The first aid treatment for the baby was provided by Dr. Luca Bianchini, pediatrician of the Neonatal Pathology and Nursery Department at the Policlinico."
Professor Stefano Angioni concluded by saying, "Elia Caprile wanted to pay tribute to the team with this donation for the positive experience they have had, which fills all the medical staff who work every day with professionalism and care with pride and joy."
Vincenzo Serra, the extraordinary commissioner of the AOU of Cagliari, also attended the shirt presentation, expressing his gratitude for Elia Caprile's gesture, "an important recognition of the quality of the Gynecology and Obstetrics department."
The Rossoblu goalkeeper is overjoyed: "I thanked the department with these 100 shirts," he said, "because they gave birth to my first son, Edoardo, and we were very happy with how we found ourselves. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
