A new synergy between Sardinia's municipalities is underway to promote the region and its economy. This spirit has led to the creation of "Sentieri d'Arci," a team effort by ten towns to promote itineraries exploring nature, beauty, and tradition. The Monte Arci Regional Natural Park Consortium is launching the first edition of the event: ten stages from May to October to rediscover the region's identity. It begins on May 3rd in Santa Giusta.

“Sentieri d'Arci,” subtitled “The Silence of Nature, the Enchantment of Beauty, the Taste of Tradition,” has as its symbol the profile of Trebina Longa, “an iconic peak,” as stated in a press release, “which dominates the landscape from an altitude of 812 meters, today becomes the symbol of a shared vision.

The project, born from the synergy between the Monte Arci Regional Natural Park Consortium, the Sardinia Region, the Fondazione di Sardegna, and the Parte Montis Foundation , aims to enhance the authentic identity of Monte Arci through a collaborative effort involving ten local communities. The event's visual identity graphically expresses this union: a line connecting ten points—one for each municipality—drawing the profile of the mountain.

"There's an unbreakable bond that intertwines the land, the trails, and the stories of those who live on Monte Arci," the Consortium representatives emphasize in unison. "With Sentieri d'Arci, we wanted to create a network of communities united by the desire to preserve and share their identity, transforming our landscape and food and wine heritage into a participatory experience."

The May calendar

The calendar includes ten stages spread across the months of May, September, and October . Each event will offer participants a full immersion in the area, combining guided hikes along the peaceful paths of the Park with tastings of local flavors, curated by the Pro Loco.

The first four events in May will officially open the way:

May 3: Saint Justus

May 9: Marrubiu

May 17: Villaurbana

May 23: Pau

Each stop will be a tribute to the land and an invitation to rediscover the wonders surrounding the Monte Arci volcanic complex.

"The Sentieri d'Arci event represents an important opportunity to promote our region and showcase its extraordinary natural and cultural resources," emphasizes Paolo Pistis, mayor of Morgongiori and president of the Monte Arci Regional Natural Park Management Consortium. "It's a starting point that paves the way for new funding and projects dedicated to the economic development of Monte Arci. The event is just a small part of the investments in services and infrastructure we're launching, which aim to enhance the visitor experience, encouraging not only discovery, but also a desire to stay and return to our region. We're confident that this encounter with nature will become a must-see in the future for anyone who wants to experience the authenticity of Monte Arci."
