The Porto Torres Nautical School shines at "Una Vela Senza Esclusi" (A Sailing Without Exclusions), with a fourth-place finish for its students. The "M. Paglietti" Higher Education Institute's participation in the national event, held from April 10th to 12th in Palermo, concluded with a positive outcome.
In the competitive sailing regatta dedicated to Italian nautical institutes, the Turritan crew achieved an honorable fourth place, distinguishing themselves for their technical expertise and sportsmanship.
The event, born from the synergy between the Italian Naval League, the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV), and the Network of Nautical Institutes (RE.NA.), offered future maritime professionals an important opportunity for competitive and educational exchange. The crew and the competition, led by instructor Angelo Manunta, included students Tatiana Zizi, Federico Cualbu, Clara Spezziga, and Manuel Demuru, who faced a series of thrilling head-to-head battles with their peers from across Italy. Consistent results and a keen understanding of the race course allowed the Paglietti students to come close to a podium finish, confirming the high level of preparation of the Porto Torres-based institute.
"Our students deservedly stood out in a high-profile national context," commented Headmaster Daniele Taras. "This result is not only a sporting achievement, but also a confirmation of the effectiveness of the educational program focused on seafaring activities, which bodes well for our students' future careers in the shipping and pleasure boating sectors." Their success at "Una Vela Senza Esclusi" further motivates the Paglietti Institute to continue strengthening its maritime-related activities.
