A gallery of epitaphs freely inspired by the tombs of Bonaria, yet with a universal scope: " Ritratti di Ombre " is the narrative collection by Claudia Mandas , available since October 8th from Il Maestrale and winner of the Antonio Gramsci Literary Prize in its latest edition.
And on Friday 3rd , the Camboni bookshop , in via Redipuglia 20 in Cagliari , will host a new presentation in the company of the author, who from 6pm will be in conversation with the teacher Dario Cosseddu , alternating the narration of the text with readings of the original passages, entrusted to the writer and performer Alberto Lecca .
Throughout his twenty-five stories and monologues , the "shadow" protagonists of the compendium emerge one after another, suspended in an evanescent dimension beyond earthly existence. And yet, at the same time, inseparable from their fates in life, now engraved on the tombstones and in memories: a succession of figures of every class, age, and social class, which transcends the starting historical reconstruction to create new stories, images, and reflections .
Mandas , born in 1980 in Cagliari, is a literature teacher and has worked on school film and cultural projects in the audiovisual, literary, and theatrical fields. Her writing debut was in 2024 with the poetry collection " Anatomia del sogno ," published by Bertoni Editore .
