Firefighters in the province of Sassari are on strike. The Confsal union announced the move, reporting in a statement that their repeated requests to the local administration have been met with no response.

Specifically, the 12 points address "lack of transparency in assignments and publication of examination board authorizations, failure to implement smart working, inadequate health and hygiene conditions in the premises, and failure to take advantage of parental leave."

For these reasons, the statement continues, "with the aim of ensuring transparency, fairness, safety, collaboration, mutual respect, a harmonious working environment, and optimized efficiency of services provided to citizens, the union organization requests the preventive activation of the conciliation procedure pursuant to Law 146/90. Failure to do so will result in all forms of union protest being adopted."
