A 55-year-old man from Sassari accused of stalking his partner received a plea bargain sentence of one year, two months, and six days.

The sentence, which also includes a program for abusive men, was pronounced two days ago in the court of the capital of Turritano by preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca.

According to the charges, starting in 2024 , the defendant began insistently demanding money from his wife, and when he didn't receive it, he insulted her and threatened to kill her, saying, "I'll kill you, I'll be your nightmare."

The conduct worsened when the woman began separation proceedings. The man then, according to the indictment, targeted his wife's business and entered it last year , damaging machinery and products.

In the end, the complaint was filed and the proceedings began which, in recent days, saw the agreement for a plea bargain between the prosecutor Gianni Caria and the lawyers Loredana Martinez and Salvatore Dettori.

The civil party was represented by lawyer Martina Pinna, who argued that the man's conduct had left her client in a state of serious anxiety.
