Months of abuse and harassment. Finally, the poor mother couldn't take it anymore: she crossed the threshold of the Carabinieri station at San Bartolomeo, in Cagliari, and reported the perpetrator, her 24-year-old son. He has now been taken to prison.
The sad story emerged in August of last year. The woman told the police that, since March, she had been the victim of constant harassment by her son, a factory worker. An escalation of psychological abuse was reportedly characterized by repeated threats, insults, and insistent demands for money.
The investigations launched immediately by the Carabinieri allowed them to confirm the victim's story, documenting a serious circumstantial evidence against the young man. The report sent to the Prosecutor's Office led to the preliminary investigations judge issuing a pre-trial detention order: the twenty-four-year-old, located by the military, was taken to the barracks and, after completing the usual formalities, taken to a cell in Uta.
