"Accomplices of transphobic violence" was the slogan on a banner found at the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Cagliari. The banner attacked Professor Federica Pinna, director of the hospital's psychiatry department, and endocrinologist Alessandro Oppo, who run the "Gender Affirmation" clinic.
"The Cagliari University Hospital condemns this cowardly attack," said Vincenzo Serra, extraordinary commissioner of the Cagliari University Hospital.
"To our two professionals," Serra continues, "who dedicate themselves with passion and professionalism to caring for gender-biased individuals, we extend our full solidarity and support. We will, of course, provide law enforcement with the images in our possession. We hope the perpetrators are identified soon."
