Carabinieri officers from the Quartu Sant'Elena station executed an order prohibiting a 36-year-old man from approaching his ex-partner, a victim of repeated abuse . The man was also placed on an electronic bracelet.
The measure stems from investigations launched at the end of January, following a complaint filed by the man's former partner. The woman, having found the courage to turn to the police, reported that she had been the victim of abuse and harassment for six years.
According to what emerged during the investigations, the suspect allegedly threatened the woman, insulting her and using violence – physical, psychological and financial – to the point of constantly fearing for her safety.
Following the complaint, the "Red Code" was triggered, and the judicial authorities, following their investigation, took measures against the 36-year-old, aimed at preventing the suspect from having any further contact with the woman.
