Nearly three years after his passing, Davide Pils continues to live on and celebrate, through his works, the history and traditions of Assemini. Last Sunday at the Parco delle Terrecotte, the community gathered to remember the beloved street artist, who passed away in 2023 at just 38 years old.

The initiative, promoted by the municipal administration and part of the "Summer in the Park" program, saw the participation of many colleagues and friends who shared emotions, private memories, and witnessed the artist's creative and human journey.

Mayor Mario Puddu announced ten thousand euros in funding for the restoration and enhancement of Pils's works. Culture Councilor Sergio Nuvoli proposed a competition for street artists: "With his art and together with other artists, Davide has shown a path, that of beauty, the only salvation in an increasingly violent and war-torn world. Assemini can be the home of street art; we will ask artists to propose new works to beautify our city . With the help of Davide's family, we will exhibit his creations, perhaps in the splendid auditorium and adjoining museum that we hope to open as soon as possible."

At the entrance to the Parco delle Terrecotte, a large exhibition panel displays a collage of the artist's most famous works.
