There are those who want to simplify the world to the point of unrecognizability. They reduce identities to slogans, lives to propaganda, rights to targets. And it is precisely against this toxic narrative that Queeresima returns, the political and cultural initiative coordinated by Arc that since 2012 has accompanied the island towards Sardinia Pride, which this year is set for June 27th .

The 2026 edition is titled "Who Tells Who? Practices Against Dominant Propaganda" and will span the entire island with forty days of events, including public meetings, screenings, concerts, readings, workshops, books, and discussions organized by dozens of associations, collectives, and social groups. "A comprehensive calendar," the organizers say, "that will center the right to self-representation and freedom of speech in an era marked by misinformation, the radicalization of public debate, and growing aggression toward minorities."

Queeresima 2026 will officially launch on Sunday, May 17th in Quartu during the Family Festival organized by Famiglie Arcobaleno at Spazio Pira. A day open to all, including workshops, shared picnics, theater performances, and gatherings dedicated to the diversity of families and relationships.

From then on, the calendar will involve Cagliari , Quartu , Carbonia , Dolianova , Burcei and Guspini with events that will touch on topics such as LGBTQIA+ rights, sexual health, transfeminism, Palestine, anti-fascism, migration, consent education, language, inclusive medicine and freedom of expression.

Highlights include the "Queer Voices" concert, Emergency's reading dedicated to war zones, meetings on forced mobility in East Africa and human rights in Iran, film screenings dedicated to queer identities and international struggles, and events leading up to Sardinia Pride.

The journey will culminate on June 27 in Cagliari with Sardinia Pride 2026, preceded by Pride Park at Parco della Musica.

Born from the experience of the anti-homophobia demonstrations held in Cagliari between 2009 and 2011, Queeresima has become one of the most widely participated cultural and political initiatives in Sardinia over the years. A self-funded, nonpartisan project open to collective participation, each year it chooses a different theme to interrogate the present through culture, activism, and community.
