Exactly six days after the collapse of the Quartucciu City Council, due to the resignations of nine councilors (including four from the majority), news has arrived of the appointment of a new Special Commissioner who will lead the municipality until the next elections in spring 2027. This evening, the Regional Council appointed public servant Siro Podda as head of the Municipality of Quartucciu, which will begin tomorrow, exactly one week after the collapse of the Pietro Pisu administration. Among his previous roles, Siro Podda served as Special Commissioner for the management of the Municipality of Soleminis, following the collapse of the City Council on November 20, 2024, until the elections in June 2025.
