For about two months , Telecom cables have been blocking the entrance and exit to his home . This happens to Sergio Lai and his wife, residents of Via delle Gardenie, in San Gaetano, a locality of Quartucciu on the old eastern Sardinian road.
Every day they have to perform acrobatics , bending over to avoid the cables. "It's the only entrance to my house, otherwise we'd have to enter from another place, obviously," says Lai, who recalls that the suspended cables are part of telephone poles that fell, one at the end of March and the other two years ago .
"They're also causing inconvenience to my other neighbors, though mine is the most serious case because it prevents us from entering and exiting the house normally. My wife and I have to get down on our knees to lift the cables and get through, always being careful not to damage them ."
The reminders to Telecom via certified email and phone can no longer be counted on one hand, he says: "They haven't listened to us so far. How long will we be forced to live like this?"
