Sustainable tourism represents a development model that combines the enhancement of cultural resources with respect for the environment and local communities. In the belief that it wants to proceed on the path traced, and therefore with the strengthening of the event proposed for the first time in Quartu now 30 years ago and relaunched with excellent feedback in recent years, the Municipal Administration calls upon all owners interested in giving prestige to their homes, putting them on display thanks to the " Lollas Network" .
In line with the principles of Agenda 2030, sustainable tourism can contribute to the achievement of several objectives, including the promotion of cities and communities, the protection of cultural and natural heritage and the creation of inclusive economic opportunities. The Enhancement Network called Lollas was born precisely in order to preserve and promote the historical and architectural characteristics of the typical Campidano houses . These houses represent a unique heritage of Sardinia, testimony to construction traditions and local lifestyles that deserve to be protected and passed down.
The project therefore intends to create an integrated tourist offer, encouraging collaboration between homeowners, institutions and local communities . The synergy represents an important opportunity for the entire local architectural heritage, which can also be realized with the organization of events, guided tours and cultural initiatives capable of highlighting its uniqueness and historical value.
With this conviction, the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena invites the owners of Campidano homes to participate in an informative and exploratory meeting . The meeting will be dedicated to the presentation of the Rete Lollas project and the related Disciplinary for owners, which highlights the membership criteria, the commitments required and the benefits that derive from active participation. Creating a synergy between all the actors involved means guaranteeing the sustainability of the project and its positive impact on the territory.
The initiative is scheduled for Monday, January 27, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sala dell'Affresco of the Ex Convento dei Cappuccini, in via Brigata Sassari 4. For more information, you can contact the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena by writing to p.piras@comune.quartusantelena.ca.it . This is an opportunity not to be missed to actively contribute to the future of Quartu: the Network will allow us to promote experiential and responsible tourism, while stimulating local economic development and strengthening cultural identities.
Rete Lollas is promoted by the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena - leader of the project, which also includes the Municipalities of Capoterra, Maracalagonis, Monserrato, Selargius and Sinnai -, with the support of the RAS Autonomous Region of Sardinia - Department of Public Education, Cultural Heritage, Information, Entertainment and Sport and the Fondazione di Sardegna. The organizational coordination is entrusted to the Association of Local Authorities for cultural and entertainment activities.
