From June, tourists who choose Quartu as a holiday destination will have to pay the tourist tax.
A novelty for the third city of Sardinia, in line with other coastal municipalities. The rates - agreed with Federalberghi - were defined last February: 1 euro for non-hotel facilities, 1.50 for hotels up to three stars, 1 euro up to 2 stars, 2 euros for hotels of 4 stars and above.
The tax - as decided by the Quartu council - will be paid from March to October - except this year with the late start also to allow hoteliers to organize themselves - and up to a maximum of five consecutive nights in the same accommodation facility.
Two more weeks, then the payment of the fee will start. And a preparatory action of information and training will be dedicated to the operators, to facilitate the first phase of management of the small tasks foreseen.
"There are 3 days of presentation and testing, scheduled for May 19, 21 and 23 ", explain the Municipality. "The owners of the accommodation facilities active in the Quartu area have in fact been invited by email to participate in the webinar, during which all the details of the tourist tax will be explained".
It will therefore be a moment of in-depth study, to understand how it must be paid, what are the obligations required by the regulation, how to operate on the portal - which will be accessed via SPID - to upload your data, as well as other peculiarities of the application . The forms to be used will also be shown, which then, after participation in the online training, will be delivered to the operators, together with the link of the software to be used, to take care of all the formalities of the case.
