The first reconstruction emerges of what happened on the night of September 3, when in Quartu a minor boy attacked and injured his father with a machete , who was then taken to hospital in serious conditions.

According to what has been learned, the alarm was raised by a woman - the wife of the attacked man and the mother of the attacker - reporting that her husband had been injured by an unknown man, while he had gone to check outside the house after hearing suspicious noises . When he did not return, the woman said she had reached him and found him on the ground bleeding, stabbed in the back by a thief who was intending to steal a motorbike . Then the rescue was triggered.

But then another truth emerged. "After about an hour - a note from the Police Headquarters reports - the Operations Center of Cagliari received another request for intervention at the same home, from the same woman, who reported that the attacker had shown up again, armed with a machete. The Flying Squad Agents of the Cagliari Police Headquarters immediately went to the scene, to whom the victim's wife reported that, inside the home, their seventeen-year-old son was present, who, armed with a machete, was intent on damaging the furniture of the house, forcing her to flee outside while waiting for the arrival of the Police Forces. The operators who intervened identified the young man and immediately took steps to secure him".

"Subsequently - the investigators continue -, on a kitchen worktop, the police officers found the large knife, presumably used by the boy to threaten his mother . At that point, the woman confided to the police officers that, in reality, her husband had been attacked by her son, following an argument that arose over trivial reasons, and had been stabbed twice in the back by the son ."

After the first investigations, the prosecutor on duty of the Juvenile Court of Cagliari intervened, ordering a precautionary measure against the boy and his transfer to the Juvenile Penitentiary Institute of Quartucciu. The 17-year-old must answer to the charge of aggravated injuries.
