A budget package of 133 million euros , with no tax increases and no cuts in municipal services.

Green light from the Giunta di Quartu Sant'Elena to the forecast budget of the Town Hall , waiting for the yes in the Council before Christmas. Some timid signs on the tax evasion front, with one million more expected to be collected on the Tari after the regular payment of the first installments, even if in fact 9 million will have to be tied up for doubtful receivables.

And the focus is on the sale of the assets of the alienation plan - from the former Buddha Beach to the Solidarity House, up to the commercial premises on the coast and the swimming pool in via San Benedetto, and other properties that should yield over 11 million - to invest in the compendium of Is Arenas , on the rebirth of the former Capra Distilleries and on the redevelopment of the Sa Serrixedda shed to be used as a historical archive. Investments that in the next budget amount to 30 million in all, also considering the loans already collected by the Municipality, including those for the former Furnaci Picci.

"A consolidation balance sheet, where a whole series of initiatives launched in an extraordinary regime through budget surpluses are confirmed, and which are now entered into ordinary activity - comments Mayor Graziano Milia after approval by the council - this is very positive because it means that we are gradually returning to a situation of normality. There are several positive signs in this sense: in the face of a substantial initial staff shortage, in these two years we have managed to hire sixty personnel. And from next year we will activate the competitions, which have not been banned for over twenty years in our municipality. Ten places will be made to run, because the budget at the moment does not allow us to go further ».
