CCN La Via del Mare and Officine Verticali are breaking seasonal conventions and inaugurating the first winter Street Art Week, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary following the summer success of the third edition, which concluded last July. From November 20th to 23rd, Viale Colombo will transform into a dynamic artistic village, Saw Village (enhanced by video mapping), involving more than 100 artists, musicians, and artisans, combining art, charity, and a diverse, top-notch musical program featuring international artists such as Marascia and Dusty Kid.

Under the artistic direction of Alessandro Macciocco and Officine Verticali, the festival aims to strengthen the neighborhood's urban regeneration through art. Starting on the evening of November 20th, the tenth bucket cover will be inaugurated at Viale Colombo 55, created by the artist Marinetti, who will perform a live painting for the occasion. All will be illuminated at night, transforming Viale Colombo into an artistic promenade that continues after dark. The program will feature daily live painting sessions coordinated by Macciocco and Officine Verticali, featuring approximately ten local artists, with works dedicated to solidarity with Artist for Palestine. These artists include Francesco Virdis, Alotauro, Stefano Paynt, Conan CA, Riccardo Cadoni, and Battagliero (the latter for body painting).

Artisans will also be present from the 21st to the 23rd at Viale Colombo 45 within the Saw Village arts center, with a dozen stands dedicated to vintage and handmade goods. The complete program is available here. On Thursday, November 20th, at 6:00 PM, the festival opens with the presentation of the tenth bucket cover, featuring Marinetti's digital artwork, in front of the Yaomi bar (Viale Colombo 55). A DJ set by Mr Erot (Music Experience) will follow. On Friday, the 21st, at 5:00 PM, the evening will kick off at Viale Colombo 45, in the Saw Village, with a DJ set by Renato Solla (Music Experience). It will be entirely dedicated to hip hop culture and moderated by Quartu rapper Lil Pin (Italo Piras), with performances by Donato Cherchi, Dope Matta, Giant Versey, Niko Dal Bounge, G. Leggenda, Lord J, Milvio Riva11, and a Hip Hop performance by Black Stars.

Saturday the 22nd will kick off at 6 pm with a DJ set by Nico Z and Mr. Erot (Music Experience), a Swing performance by Black Stars, followed by the rock band Dilan's Doge, and a closing Rockabilly DJ set. On Sunday the 23rd at 4 pm, the event will close with electronic/house music, with a new event on Viale Colombo featuring Mr. Erot, Matteo Spedicati, and international artists Marascia and Dusty Kid. Street Art Week, an art and solidarity project, will premiere this weekend, November 15th and 16th, in collaboration with Rebelterra during the "A CHE ORA E' LA FINE DEL MONDO" festival (Su Tzirculu, Via Molise 58). On Friday, November 15th, Officine Verticali will close the evening with a live painting performance. Artists Alessandro Macciocco, Matteo Porcu, and Luca Tubero will repurpose old objects and give them new life. The works will be auctioned in December to fund reconstruction projects at the Al Awda hospital in Gaza (Sardinia-Palestine Association).

On Sunday the 16th, starting at 9:00 a.m., volunteers will be working on the "Piazza Sa Barchixedda" project in the Is Mirrionis neighborhood. The project, supported by the City of Cagliari and implemented by Rebelterra with Officine Verticali and Scout CNGEI Cagliari, involves cleaning up the area and transforming an abandoned boat, a symbol of urban regeneration, into an artistic planter.

"Our mission is to give value and identity to Quartu's Via del Mare, and art remains the most powerful tool to do so," explains Luca Stocchino, president of the CCN La Via del Mare. "With the first Street Art Week, we already combined urban regeneration and social responsibility. With this winter edition, we're redoubling our commitment: we're illuminating the works already created on the vanity tops and, together, igniting a new collective awareness. The live painting in support of the Gaza hospital is a symbol of this: an act of art and humanity, born from a community of merchants and restaurateurs capable of looking beyond their own shopfronts."

Street Art Week, supported by a large network of partners and local institutions, is supported by the Region, the Municipality, the Via del Mare Natural Shopping Center, and Officine Verticali, with recognition to the Fondazione di Sardegna and Oikos for their original contribution.
