An experimental model, the first in Sardinia, to lift suburban areas out of isolation. CTM's Embracer ride-hailing service officially launches on April 13th for the low-density areas of Quartu Sant'Elena and Quartucciu.

In particular, the Quartucciu areas of Margine Rosso , Bellavista , Foxi , Is Ammostus , Flumini , Is Pardinas , Sperassiu , and Sant'Isidoro will be served as regards the Quartucciu territory.

The experimental project, presented today in Flumini, involves the use of a specially branded bus—although electric buses will also be tested—a dedicated app with a booking platform, and a toll-free number: 800 259 745, the same call center as Amicobus.

"Public transport is expanding where it couldn't reach before. For safety reasons, service is only guaranteed on public, paved roads," the public transport company explains.

The minibus, a 7-seater vehicle, arrives at the requested house number and takes passengers to the nearest interchange hubs from where they can continue their journey with the main CTM lines (PF, PQ, 1Q, 2L).

The launch on April 13th marks the beginning of an initial pilot phase that will end in August 2026. The service will be monitored to measure its efficiency and customer satisfaction.
