Over 200 items of counterfeit clothing were seized at the Pula local market by the financial police of the Sarroch branch, as part of an operation coordinated by the Cagliari Provincial Command.
The check involved a stall displaying for sale t-shirts, trousers and sweatshirts with well-known designer brands , which were found to be fake following the checks. The seller was reported. The items – although well packaged and with faithfully reproduced logos – did not have the mandatory labels required for original products. Furthermore, the trader was unable to provide any purchase documentation: according to estimates, the goods could have fetched over 3 thousand euros once sold.
During the inspection it also emerged that the man was operating without a regular VAT number and without the necessary authorisations for street trading.
