This is only the latest in a long series of road accidents caused in recent months by the sudden crossing of deer and wild boars: last June, a tourist lost his life after being run over by a deer while riding his scooter along the main road of Is Molas.

The mayor , Walter Cabasino, continues his battle to ask for a definitive solution to the problem of the massive presence of ungulates in the territory , which in addition to causing serious damage to agricultural businesses, continue to cause road accidents.

«Despite the meetings with the various institutions and the technical tables, nothing has changed. In this area, anyone who drives and crosses the Strada Statale 195 never knows what might happen to them. The chances of coming across one of these animals are increasingly higher».
