Salvatore Riccardi didn't make it. The seventy-nine-year-old pensioner from Pula , who fell from scaffolding on Friday while doing work on his home on Via Tramontana , died at Brotzu Hospital.
His condition appeared extremely serious from the start. Rescued by the Sarroch ambulance and transferred by air ambulance to Brotzu Hospital, the man was admitted to intensive care with a severe head injury . On Saturday, doctors had evaluated the possibility of surgery, but his clinical condition was so compromised that no operation was possible. He died late Saturday evening.
