Pratobello 24, the committees believe in it: «The Island should focus immediately on green hydrogen»

All hydrogen . With the green variant, zero emissions , far from being in the background. A plan for clean energy that Pratobello 24 theorizes among the objectives to be achieved on the Island in the not too distant future, intriguing also for the unions, who however imagine an intermediate phase still tied to fossil fuels .
However, for the committees against the speculative assault of wind and photovoltaic, methane cannot be a transitional stage: "As a fossil fuel, any initiative is prohibited by paragraph 3 of article 3 of the Pratobello. It is necessary to reiterate this, also to silence some detractors who claim that the gas lobby is behind it", specifies Luigi Pisci, of the Sarcidano committee. Hydrogen will provide the new sustainable energy when the phase out of coal power plants is complete.
"Green hydrogen is starting to be a promising reality in many advanced areas of Europe," Pisci continues. "We helped write and promote Pratobello also because it has this open window on the future. A near future, in which the production of clean energy does not clash with the landscape and can truly be put at the service of the environment and communities."
The debate on where and how to place the plants is open. There are studies underway: zero-emission plants could be placed in the center or on the sides of the roadways, as happens in the main industrialized countries.
On hydrogen, everyone seems to be substantially in agreement, even though the unions say a transitional phase is necessary.
