A fire broke out at dawn today in a house in Portoscuso. Around 6 this morning the firefighters from the Carbonia detachment intervened, after the request arrived at the operations room in Cagliari: their presence on site, in addition to taming the flames, served to rescue a ninety-year-old man and his disabled son who were inside the apartment.

The two were taken to the hospital for checks , due to probable smoke inhalation. Their conditions appeared good.

The flames developed in a bedroom on the first floor of the building. It is not excluded that the causes are of an electrical nature .
