Portoscuso, assaults and threats against mother: 30-year-old arrested

Last night, Carabinieri officers from the Iglesias Company's Mobile Radio Unit responded to a call in the town center of Portoscuso regarding a violent fight taking place inside a private residence.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 30-year-old unemployed man, a resident of Portoscuso and already known to law enforcement, in a highly agitated state . The man had destroyed numerous furnishings and fixtures in the house, making serious threats to his retired mother.
The woman was interviewed by the Carabinieri, who told her that she had previously suffered other incidents of violence that had never been reported. The Carabinieri then arrested the man and transferred him to the Uta prison.
