Approximately sixty kilos of untraceable fruit and vegetables —including watermelons, onions, and melons—were found in recent days in the trunk of a passenger arriving at the Porto Torres port. The administrative seizure was carried out by officials from the Customs and Monopolies Agency.

The checks involved a 45-year-old Moroccan citizen residing in Sardinia , arriving from Morocco via Barcelona, who was stopped after disembarking the ship. His car was carrying approximately sixty kilos of products without labeling or information regarding their origin, species identification, or the (required) phytosanitary certification.

The goods were seized and transferred to the customs warehouses in Porto Torres, pending health and safety checks.
