First he insults and threatens the 118 ambulance crew and then refuses help. The episode occurred during the night in Porto Torres.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m., between Thursday and Friday night, the Carabinieri of the Via Antonelli company requested the intervention of the 118 ambulance for a 30-year-old man, in a confused state, who was injured while kicking a roller shutter.
The health workers of Soccorso Sardo intervened on the spot, they invited him to get on board the vehicle to be transferred to the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata in Sassari. But he never arrived at the hospital. After about a hundred meters, the patient went into a rage, verbally attacking and challenging the rescuers, accusing them of not knowing how to do their job .
He asked to be accompanied to the Emergency Medical Service, a procedure not provided for by the 118 operations center. Then he asked to get out of the ambulance, refusing assistance. In the meantime, the man was reported to the police.
