Thieves repeatedly targeted the parish of Spirito Santo in Porto Torres, stealing two solid silver chalices used during religious celebrations and a pyx, a sacred vessel shaped like a cup with a lid, which contains the consecrated hosts , also made of precious metal.

"For us, they had great religious and emotional significance, a terrible gesture that deeply affected us," said the parish priest, Don Boniface Da . "I only say to the thieves: return what was stolen, objects that should be used only to serve the Lord ," Don Boniface continued.
