Two thieves committed the “spectacular” theft last Sunday, when the shop in via Migheli was closed, a retailer of electrical supplies and plumbing near via Sassari. So they were able to act undisturbed.
The plan was carried out around 6:30 p.m. and, taking advantage of the darkness, two hooded people - as shown by videos recorded by a citizen - jumped over the fence to access the depot and with a combined action pushed the tank over the gate . Once they had climbed over the fence they rolled the tank until it reached the car.
Once loaded onto the roof of the car, one of them leaned out of the window to make sure he didn't lose them, while with his accomplice at the wheel they fled through the streets of the Monte Agellu neighborhood. The images show the entire action with the voices of the protagonists recorded. The theft was reported by the owners of the shop to the Carabinieri of the Porto Torres company who are investigating the incident. The military are said to be on the trail of those responsible, recognizable from private videos and images from the video surveillance cameras inside the warehouse of the commercial activity.
