Angelo Aversano, Enea Rizzo, and Mattia Solferino are the three students from class 5A, Captains major, at the Paglietti Nautical Institute in Porto Torres who graduated with top marks.
The years of study, a succession of excellent results, culminated in a 100/100 final exam grade, following the recent completion of the final exams. Two of them, Enea and Mattia, are from Alghero, where they have sacrificed their commute for five years.
Their excellence, however, was not an isolated case, but is part of a class where the excellent results of Sara Lorenzoni with 95, Davide Marras with 94, Federico Di Lorenzo with 88, Samuele Sanna Pinna with 83 and three other classmates (Lorenzo Borsellino, Nicoll Colombino and Angelo Pinna) who brilliantly achieved 80 stand out. Class 5A stood out as a united group capable of a profound and spontaneous incisiveness towards the more vulnerable classmates, demonstrating that solidarity is the true value of a school community.
On this journey, a special and touching thought goes to our classmate from Alghero, Fabrizio Calaresu, who tragically passed away last summer in a car accident, but who remained forever present in the hearts and thoughts of the entire class throughout the year.
This collective success is also the fruit of the hard work of the faculty and the institute, which has successfully nurtured them according to the rigorous standards of the Quality System for Maritime Education. Today, their paths are diverging: for some, the doors of university open, while others will embark immediately, armed with a certified diploma that allows them to immediately begin the prestigious career of Deck Officer Cadets.
