Ivan Cermelli , a 55-year-old lawyer, League group leader on the city council, and former prime minister, is the center-right coalition's candidate for the Porto Torres local elections on June 7 and 8. He will be supported by the coalition composed of Brothers of Italy, Forza Italia, and the League . The green light came following a discussion among the regional party secretaries, which met this afternoon in Oristano. The meeting was concluded by the leaders in favor of Cermelli's candidacy, which he won over Ilaria Faedda, Forza Italia's city coordinator.

The second lawyer in the field after Sara Dettori , supported by the civic identity coalition consisting of Sardinia in the Center, True Sardinia, and the Sardinian Action Party. In the center-left , the forces that mirror the Campo largo coalition in the Region are focusing on the outgoing mayor Massimo Mulas , a figure who is supported by the Democratic Party, Orizzonte Comune, Progetto Turritano, Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra, Progressisti, PSI, +Europa, M5S, and Porto Torres Avanti. The fourth group is led by candidate Loredana De Marco, a civic project of Turritano activists formed by the "Porto Torres c'è" list, which has the full political support of Sinistra Futura and Sardegna Chiama Sardegna.

With two months to go until the election, a fierce battle looms with the electoral list selection process, which various parties and civic movements are already hard at work on and which will conclude on the 29th day before the election.
