A reed bed and scrub in the countryside of Porto Torres are on fire. A column of smoke has invaded the peripheral area of Ponte Pizzinnu, near the new cemetery. The high flames invaded the overgrown vegetation and burned some trees.

The firefighters of the provincial command of Sassari intervened on the spot together with their colleagues from the Porto Torres detachment, two teams operating with tank trucks that are trying to stem the fire pushed inwards by the wind. One hectare of land went up in smoke, a complex operation due to the inaccessible area.

The fire risks spreading but fortunately there are no houses in the vicinity of the area affected by the fire. The men of 115 are considering what triggered the fire. An involuntary action or the intention to cause fire.
