Charging stations are down at all the city's charging points, including three "Fast" stations located in different areas of Porto Torres that are currently out of order.

The protesters are electric car owners forced to stop because they can't charge their vehicles. "The fast-charging stations for electric cars (Enel On Your Way) in the city are constantly out of order. We're not talking about a temporary outage, but a chronic outage." Riccardo Ternullo, like other residents, denounces what he considers "an unsustainable and embarrassing situation, especially now that we're in the middle of the tourist season." The devices in Balai's parking lots have been out of order since January. "I myself submitted the first official report in February, but it had already been out of order for some time and hasn't been fixed since then—or rather, it gets fixed and then two days later it's out again," Ternullo emphasizes.

The charging station on Viale delle Vigne, near the Conad supermarket, has been completely shut down for several months now, while the one on Via Libio has all its stations inoperable and its lights off. "In practice, 100% of the rapid service is down. Only a few slow 22 kW charging stations remain active, but," Ternullo points out, "most cars draw a maximum of 11 kW of AC power, and this means having to leave their cars idle for hours, an inconvenience that residents and tourists cannot afford."
