Under the influence of alcohol and holding a knife, he threatened passersby. The incident occurred in Porto Torres yesterday afternoon, February 25th, not far from the city center, where Carabinieri officers from the local Mobile Radio Unit intervened and arrested a man in flagrante delicto for aggravated threats and possession of a weapon.
The Carabinieri officers reached the location reported by residents following several calls to 112 indicating the presence of a seriously impaired individual, caused by alcohol abuse, who was approaching passersby in a threatening manner , brandishing a knife and shouting various phrases.
The man was identified and arrested. During the search, a 23-centimeter switchblade was found in his pocket and seized. By order of the Prosecutor's Office, the young man is under house arrest pending a validation hearing.
