Green light for the final-executive project for the demolition of the Monte Agellu middle school, the school building which will be rebuilt thanks to a Pnrr loan obtained from the Municipality of Porto Torres for an amount of approximately 8 million euros.

In recent days, the contract has been signed: among other clauses and provisions, the contractor has the obligation to complete the works no later than 650 days starting from December 19th. It is therefore necessary, in order to respect the timing imposed by the financing, to proceed quickly with the design and execution of the work. The municipal administration has prepared an economic plan with a total amount of 7 million and 800 thousand euros, of which 5.7 million for works, 170 thousand euros for security costs and 1 million and 930 thousand euros for sums available to the administration.

Resources necessary to build a new school complex, and foreseen by the public notice for the safety and redevelopment of the school building heritage of Sardinia called "School safety and redevelopment plan - Building replacement intervention".

The Municipality intends to create a building that is sustainable from an environmental point of view, energy efficient, made with natural materials and powered by renewable energy, in order to have an overall reduction in management costs.
